The Stradic CI4+ is a little different than most of the older versions of the Stradic. Does anyone happen to know the size of the set screw that has the Allen head on the shaft?

Thanks Reel Kleen, is this a special order Allen Key or something I should be able to find? I have 4-5 different Allen wrench sets and everything I have is to big. If you come up with the size please let me know.

Thank You,
Jeremy

Memory failing, I think it is .89mm.

I don't have the size but its tiny and also fits the Stella reels. Its metric and around 0.90mm

ah, i know what you're talking about now!  i actually had to make one.  i just took a file and carefully filed down the smallest hex bit i had until it fit.
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

Forgot to mention RJRCooltools also has JIS screwdrivers, which IMHO are a must for working on Jap anything (reels, cars, bikes)

I've had no problem getting them out using a straight pick tool.

Thanks for all the great replies. I didn't attempt to try with any other tools because this is one of my my wife's reels, and it I stripped the screw head I'd never hear the end of it.

I'll definitely check out RJRcooltools, and Jis Screwdrivers. I currently use Wiha screwdrivers on smaller equipment, but I'm a fan of good quality tools. Says the Snap-On, and MAC accounts.

I just bought a cheap set of metric allen keys that had the one I needed.

That's a really good tip Slazmo, as the set screw isn't real tight

Use the end of a needle... Fashion it into a tool.

That one, or your previous post on the topic, should go in the 'Tip Of The Day' thread.  Great tip.
