Was going through some old, old paper for Mike and also Joe --

Came across this pic on the cover of a 15 page catalog of Newell products ranging from reels, conversion kits, handles, spools, brakes, long cast bearings made of DuPont AF13 Teflon, bases, clamps, posts, screws, grease, washers, gears, leader pouches, sink-R-grips, BAJA casting and trolling jigs, Penn upgrades, and much more.

Interesting thing -- there is no hype in this catalog -- just good pictures, detailed facts, descriptions, specifications, reels the part fits, fishing applications, and the benefits of this product -- along with a brief statement on why you may want to consider a particular product.

Carl was a personal hero of mine -- on par with some of the folks on this site, like Alan and others.

This catalog may already be on our site somewhere --

But if not, I could scan and download, if anyone is interested -- it is fascinating.

Lot of history and information.

Maybe someone could show us a photo like this from the upcoming SOA trip!

Then & Now...

Best,

Fred
