Shhh! They are getting harder to find since you are buying them all up!
I always had them, but might just buy some more.

#3.  for this size reel, i personally like counterbalanced.

I've been going after a custom counterbalance handle for some time, it really makes a world of difference on the Jigmasters and smaller.
I've asked You, Bry Bry, Alan C. with no luck. I asked Adam and they are happening as early as this weekend... can't wait for those.

Are they modeled After the 24 66 handle And are they 316?
I believe these are similar to the 24-66.
The stainless steel is the 316, 10 gauge .135" Thick.
When I asked Adam about these, he was already working on them, so can't take the credit for this one.

They are drawn to Sals specs.  Its pretty close to the Penn handle visually, but I did not have one to measure.

All handle arms I have cut in the past and will cut in the future will be 316 stainless.  316 specifically resists salt water corrosion, so I spec that material for anything external on a reel.

Im going to try to get some waterjet time this weekend, and this is on the to do list.

Very nice! I was asking because I stumbled onto some 304 handles that someone had made. But 316 is much better. The specs are very close, but slightly smaller than the 24-66, will be interesting to see these in production! Nice work!

Thanks for this thread everybody!

I'm going to try upgrade my 506 in a similar fashion and wouldn't have even attempted it without the posts on this board.

Thanks...

I finally shaved off the side plates on a JM 505 and a 506 for the Black Pearl spacer. Sanded down the spacers to the correct height . Anyone who has not tried this , it's real easy. Take your time and check often . I'm really happy with the fit. Nice improvement! Thanks to this post and other posts on this subject! Maybe the pics won't be sideways.

Very nice, the gears are now happy. It will feel a little stiff at first, but should work itself in nicely.
