How exactly did you remove the knob from the handle of the reel? I have a Penn Conflict 5000 and I noticed that there is a bit of play where the knob connects to the handle, and I can't seem to figure out how to remove it so I can tighten it up.

Take a quarter and remove the screw cap on the end of the knob. Underneath you will find a screw that holds the the knob properly set over the bearings.

This is a great tutorial. Thanks for posting.

Does anybody have feedback now that they’ve been using their conflict for a while?
