For a stuck bearing cup I use a .375 reamer. Put the reamer in a drill motor, insert the reamer into the bearing cup, and slowly start the drill.  Usually the bearing cup will unscrew.  The bearing cup is ss, but the threaded fitting my be ss, or brass alloy depending when reel was put into production.
