Hi all,

I know that small spinners aren't really the main game for most of you but I just thought I'd share a little discovery from today....

I picked up a new reel that was reduced from AUD$300 to $90 (actually, I picked up 3 ;D).  A Pflueger Supreme XT... this one's the '35' model.

I opened it up to give it the 'pre-fishing' treatment and guess what I found???

Greased carbon fibre drag washers...

And a coat of blue grease on the internal surfaces...

Someone's taking notice, Alan ;)

Measure once, cut twice. Or is it the other way around? ::)

Nice.  I wish my other spinners had carbon drags right of the box.
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Alan did it - he's everywhere!

You've got to really watch that guy, he's sneaky!..... ;D

I've been looking to replace my worn out 4300SS reels. I just seen this thread. This reel, looking past the good drag material is put together quite well for its intended use.
