long rods

had a   look at a lot of the photos and there is a lot of long rods.the boat rail is not always high,why not use 6ft rods so there is less leverage on the angler.tuna, kingfish,sealions,etc,haha

My best guess is you are able to cast farther with a longer rod. 
:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

You're right, Bryan. You can really chuck those 'chovies and small sardines a long way with an 8 foot or longer rod or when you want your surface jig a long way out from the boat. It also makes it easier to go over the top of shorter rods when following your fish down the rail.
