Convector CV 15 D

I have a CV15D I am trying to reassemble, there is a compression spring (PC 204) that goes somewhere in the spool engagement assembly behind the main gear. The diagram is no help, anyone got a picture or insight on where or how this spring goes in?

  It should go in the slot in part #701(drive shaft assembly). It is there to soften the blow when the reel is engaged. The fiber drag plate under the gear  keeps it in place.
