Accurate BX400N - lever won't move when spool shaft is secured with e-clips

After talking with the service tech at Accurate, he sent me the new preset assembly - as mentioned in my previous post. I got the parts this weekend, and it all came together at once with the new part(s). So my theory was correct; the threads were damaged enough so that the preset screw could not go deep enough when adjusting for less/more drag. This very small damage was not possible to see, so it was more of a gut feeling that this had to be the solution. Luckily, it was correct. So today the reel left the building - heading back to its owner to hunt for more hailbut in the cold seas outside of Norway. I hope the owner will be happy about getting his favorite reel back, now also in working order.
