There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

I want that dude in front of me next time I fish La Paz.  Needlefish tore us up.

We've had success here in the UK, fishing for garfish (similar to the needlefish), by using white knitting wool, soaked in pilchard oil. This is fished from a "washing-line" rig, similar to the one below

The casual attitude of the Solomon Islander toward the species is quite a contrast from my last encounter with them fishing live bait off Tobago in the Caribbean.

There if one did hook up the guide would shout in a broad Caribbean accent-'Cut De Line'!!!!  :o
