Tuna fishing
Another great 3.5 days tuna fishing trip on board Marla IV
As all the fishing its been at night time, we departured early to arrive around the middle of the night to the tuna grounds.
1st night :
we had a very slow bite, only one hook up on a live squid unfortunately the line broked on the second run, that was it... o well we knew they were there.
At day time the fishing was pretty dead so we decided to do some trolling. We had a fish on an lost it again, bad luck!!! Fishing was much better at night time so we decided to take a great nap in  the afternoon, good decision!!!
2nd night : we had a good start with the jigs, second drop  ¡¡¡hook up!!! on the bow awsome every one started jigging, 15 min later we had a bloodydeck with a 110 lbs yellow fin, killer!!! That was around 9 pm, one hour later one of the makaira 20 started screaming, fish on!!! What a great start
Second fish on the deck we were all excited , another yellow fin and the bite was just about to start ..
We reset the drift and hook up right away, that fish never stop running, incredible it took all the line from a 50...
We continue catching squid , 5:00 am the first line goes on, 5 minutes later  ¡¡¡triple hook up!!!! Since 5 am - 8 am we landed 8 fish, ending the second fishing night with 10 yellowfins board a lost 2 more...
As we were geting some fish marks, we continue drifting all the morning with no luck on yellowfins but we landed two nice square heads ( mahi mahi)
3rd night:
Another great start up catching a lots of fresh bait (squid), around midnight we had the first hook up!!! on a live squid. We were getting a lots o fish marks they were under are boat... we started jiggin with the PL68  ¡¡doble hook up!!!  right away..  awsome!!!!
Another great fishing night with a total of 5 yellowfins, the fish were on the range (100-160lbs). As the last day we only fish until dark, the captain decided to try (el Banco) one of the local fishing grounds targetting dogtooth snapper , when we arrived you could see big bait balls going crazy I even saw a 60lbs jump completely out of the water,  we ended up catching one square head (mahi mahi).
Another great expirence on board Marla IV with the Osuna brothers..
killer trip
