Most of you rod builders probably already know this but:
If you only use your epoxy occasionally read on.
If, like me, you store your two part rod finish in a cold place.
When you come to use it the hardener, or part A, has gone cloudy/crystalline and like gel - all is not lost :)
Simply place your bottle in a hot water bath - ideal temp 50°C or 120°F for a couple of hours (or longer) ;)
It becomes crystal clear and thin as water.
It's best to let it cool down to 75-80°F (24°C for the rest of the world) before normal use.

I nearly binned a perfectly good batch until I found this info. (Thank you Craig at Flexcoat, and a couple of other sources)
Craig also told me - for long term storage and shelf life keep it in the freezer :o They should know!

Yes good tip. First time that happened to me I was ready to can $30 worth of epoxy too

Microwave the bottle for 5 seconds at a time.  I've done this with both rod finish and U40 Rod Bond when it crystallizes.
