Bail Problem

Hey guys,
My fishing buddy, Alan, has a shimano baitrunner 4500B. The bail is broken. It appears that one end of it has come out of the hole. Is there anything that I can I do to fix the bail? I can post pictures in a few days if needed.

Did it snap?  Or just came out?  If it just came out you should be able to push it back in the hole.  Check to see if the bail arm is keyed (like they hit it to make the end flat) you might have to line the keys up.
