Old Kencor surf Rod repainted/restored/rewrapped

This project came to me from a local, the rods been with him for 17 years and it was time to restore it for him. I did a full tear down and repainted the blank from the ugly Kencor yellow or orange to black. And full golden state warriors themed.

can I ask what product did you used to clear coat the whole rod after the paint job was done?
to coat the painted blank not the guide wrap

I use automotive clear max 2k clear wh the red plunger

nice to hear that, I was also told to try that for coating a rod after painting it (when restoring a rod) by a friend.
I already have the product and will test it on some broken rods and also on a $12 dls rod from wallyworld, already took all the guides out and sanded the blank
