I'm heading back tomorrow ( Wed ) & decided to stop by Dicks Sporting Goods for a few Savage Swimbait 10 " Trout Lures (6 1/2 & 7 oz).

Unfortunately they only had one ( 6 1/2 oz ) Slow Sink Trout in Stock.

For whatever it's worth,.. I've used several different knots in the past. But have found the below Snell Knot looks good & ties on very smoothly ( 8 wraps ) , using 50 lbs Mono.

Snell Knot- Uni Knot version.

I picked up a couple more " Savage Swimbaits " ,  online Amazon.

Dark Trout 10 "  6 1/2 oz.

I'll be heading back to " Pyramid Lake " next week ( 1 hour / 56 mile drive one way )  8)

You going to be floating the tube still? Or is the water too cold now?

I was talking to a guy today that fishes all that big stuff.  Showed me a pretty realistic looking trout.  I'd eat it.

Be sure to post up your trip pics, these are great.
I woke today and suddenly nothing happened.

I prefer to be on the water during the colder season ( Early Fall & Early Spring ) rather than the unbearable summer heat ( 100 + Temps ).

I'm planning on taking one of my " Float Tubes " out soon !  8)
