Hey Guy's,
My new 37kg rod has a roller tip.First rod I have owned that has had one.Just wondering what care and maintenance it needs.Thinking grease screw threads and cx on shaft should do.Thoughts?.
Cheers Scott.

No grease! Use oil on roller shaft, like 321 or similar. Grease will keep any dirt or sand in like a magnet.        RUDY

If it's an Aftco roller it has a teflon sleeve between the screw and the wheel so it doesn't need oil but it wouldn't hurt it. If you take it apart use a little locktite so the screw doesn't back out. It good rinse with fresh water after each trip should be all you need.
Do what you can with that you have where you are

I tested grease vs oil. A little bit of ReelX works the best in my opinion. Makes the rollers super smooth. They definitely need some kind of lubrication. Otherwise they eventually will start to seize up and squeal loudly.
