Tyrnos 30 reel seat failure

Just had a friend drop a reel over with the reel seat broken off while bottom bashing for red emperor. Not verry happy. Not sure if this is common, i have noticed it is a similar reel vintage as the TLD failures, Malaysian made. I'll post a photo when my camers is charged

hoo, boy!  the whole reason for going with the tyrnos reels is to avoid this problem.
