Thanks for sharing Ted, I'm sure it was rewarding using a reel with some of your custom creations.  I know the feeling cranking up those big weights from the deep, certainly a challenge, but a blast to test your personal strength both physically and mentally.

I can't wait to see more of your endeavors, you are a brave soul!

Epic adventure 'Mad Max'...thanks for sharing it with us. I am in awe...and a bit envious. Days (and experiences) like that are rare and special.

 Opportunity was knocking again, so I hopped on a 30' trophy that belongs to a long time friend to do the same run all over again. Fishing was so fast and furious there wasn't time for pics. After getting back to our marina I got Woody to hold up his 44" halibut(approx. 44#). He is 75, but acts like he is 20. Round trip showed 355 miles running(14 hours total) and he drove every stich of the way !!! His twin 250 zukes used about 250 gallons and my share of the fuel bill was worth every penny.
