Florida has a two day mini Crawfish (spiny lobster) season that allows recreational fishermen to harvest bugs before the commercial fisherman set their traps. We got our three person limit of 12 each off of Fort Lauderdale. If you dive in the Keys you are only allowed 6 per person but they are easier to harvest as the water is shallower.

Nice big table covered with oceanic cockroaches...  Yummy! 8)

Die if you must, but die on your home turf with your face to the wind, not in some stinking hellhole 2,000 kilometers away, among people you neither know nor care about."

Nice harvest!

Do they keep frozen well, or is this a catch and eat critter?

conchydong

The tails freeze extremely well as they don't have red blood. I have eaten them a year old and they were "almost" as good as fresh.

David Hall

Very nice add to all the fish and wild game in the freezer.

I like to stuff a few tails in the belly of parrotfish(or anything else) before cooking. Delicious

Today was the 2018 mini season opening day. We got our 4 person limit (12 each) pretty quickly.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.
