Avet HX Raptor question

Hi Gang!  I picked up an Avet HX Raptor and decided to dive into it before I take it out.  I thought the Raptor series had drag pads on both sides of the spool, but I found it only had the pad on the gear side?  Any clarification or advice?

They just press on the single drag washer from both sides. They don't have drag washers on both sides of the spool like an Accurate.
