Another great trip to test a couple of hotrodded reels.  Here is a sleeper, double dogged, with a Hex main gear,  sst offset crank arm and a man sized rubberlike grip.   Its hard to beat for the low price.   If you have an open mind. ;D

Nice flatties. I just cleaned up a 400 and going to go through it. I never used it, it was given to me and hadn't been used in years. Looks about the size of the 113/4.0.

Yes, almost identical in size and features.  Very good reels for the money.  These can use a better drag as most reels from the era.   Good fishing 🎣

geat Reels Gary (I think you mean the 400H not 400s)

I just got a big 900H as a trade, still dont know what I going to do with it, its still on really good shape, just a clean up, grease and its will be ready for some sharks or groupers, pretty sure would do wonders on those big butts in Alaska

Great work Gary!
I have four 400h's and two 450h's, I'm going to sale all but 2 of the 400h's.
I want to beef up the two 400's like you did here, but will need to figure out a plan to get it done.
I always love looking at your work, it's fantastic!
