I have a 18000 Sarragosa that I intend to use for tuna jigging. The reel came with the black woven drag washers, my question is, should I grease these washers or leave them dry? Thanks for any opinions.

call shimano at 877-577-0600 and see if those drag washers are greased carbon fiber.  if so, you're good to go!
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

Ok, thanks I'll try them.

I think you will find they are spool washers and not drag washers. they are used under the spool if needed to level the line on the spool. If you look at the schematics part #7616

Hey George, pretty sure bigtahuna stated they were drag washers, and by the description, they should be carbon fiber.  Also, he also asked if they should be greased, which you didn't quite answer besides posting a link to parts.  Is there something you know maybe that we don't, and care to share?
