I am heading to a Fishing flea market later today. I see Newells all the time at these things, but I have no idea what a fair price is. I am looking for a surfcasting size for chunking / eels,,etc..I'm guessing a 235 maybe? I know I won't see a lefty, but I understand I can somehow convert it to lefty. Anyway,,some prices would be helpful.

It depends on the condition, series and the model. In general $100 or under would be a score,up to $200 would be pretty common, after that there's a lot of quirky little details to a newell head that can affect the value. If it's colored the price can go way up.
Normally the narrower ones go for more than the wide ones except in Hawaii, they like them wide.
In general a 235 would be on the low end value wise because it's small and wide.
Do what you can with that you have where you are

Pricing depends on a lot of factor.

-What series?
-Big bearing cups?
-Colored?
-Condition?
-Right components for that particular series?

For your application, perhaps a 229 or 235 will do that job.
