I was wondering if someone could tell me the difference between the blue Abu 6500C3CT and the older model/classic Abu 6500 Blue Yonder? Does the former have a fixed spindle in the spool and bearings in the end caps, while the latter has a spindle that is removable with bearings in the spool? It really is pretty amazing how many variations there are of the 6500; it makes for some interesting reading and research.
Thanks in advance for any help.

There are so many variations in the Abu line it would take a thick book if it had info and pictures of each one! (I'm working on that project now, it's staggering! Not to mention the mods people like tournament casters do!) Expect to buy a copy in 2025 or so!

I don't know.... but they do not list a 6500 blue yonder schematic except for the c3ct from about 2009 and the c3ct mag. All have a spool axel instead of spool spindles.  The 7000 blue yonder has spindles.

The inshore and the beast round have one bearing on the spool and one in the side plate.
