If a bullets primer is ignited outside a chamber, it does not do much other than going pop, shrapnel is the mail worry. There are a bunch of youtubes which show live rounds being lit up outside a barrel/action chamber.

this is not fun 

I have pictures that prove I started fishing with the spinning reel like this some years ago (around 20) LOL 

then a good fisherman that was far from me saw me and came to the rescue, corrected me and then I started searching online for fishing tips and techiques and well, few years later I repair reels and build rods and give advices on how to use spinning reels, 2-speed reels, leverdrag reels, how to avoid "birdnests" on baitcasting reels, etc.

but still laught when I see this meme from time to time.

I had a marlin spool a 80 international in my lap it sounded like a cannon going off when he hit the end of the line,,,hehe and my dad laughed the whole time,,,,,,

They are definately capable.  2 weeks ago, we had one just about spool the 130.  The hook pulled with only like 50yds left on the reel and the fish did not slow down since the bite.  My friend had a fish spool his new penn 130 3 weeks ago.
