Bearsharker

Had a good shark fishing trip week before last. Stopped by a roadside sale and picked up an old beat up boat rod on the way home. Reworked the roller guides. Removed and inspected the wood handle/reinstalled (It was fine), added a shark decal and name. Urethaned the handle. Restored and sealed the cork upper. Re-Wrapped the guides and new artwork. Added a gimble amd flex-coated everything. My second best shark rod for $20 and supplies...and had fun doing it.

That came out pretty nice. Always nice when you can reuse the components... Jeff

Good save brother....Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Dominick

Just like a baseball closer.  Good save.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Well done!

Those smaller sharks can get quite frisky.
Hope springs eternal

Good job on the rod.   Looks like you have a great hobby.  A great way to spend time and be creative. Thanks. For sharing.🎣

Nice! Looks bullet-proof!
Great to have projects like that, it appears that you're an old salt with the refurb work and made short time of it all!
I am not experienced and have two refurbishment / customisation projects that I will be taking my time with in our winter (June / July). The pre-prep / research / learning has been thoroughly enjoyable to date.
Thanks for sharing.
