How does Andros 16ii compare w/ similar sized Makaira?

Hello folks, I am looking for a used two speed 100 lb heavy framed reed. It will be on a rail rod used for SoCal night time tuna jigging, which is up and down, drop & reel knife jigs. I was offered an Okuma Andros 16ii. How does that compare w/ the Makaira? Is it a capable reel and up for that job?

Not for 100lb.

yeah, i'd stick with the makaira 20.  a friend dropped down as far as the makaira 16.  i made it work, but he will be fishing the reel to the limit.  the math for the andros 16 might work out, but i would not recommend this one either.  get the makaira 20.
