general questions

Hey hows it going?  I have a question but i feel like it would be more appropriate in the "getting your reel ready to fish section" but i cant seem to post in there.

Well anyways here is my question.  I bought a 6500 c3 ambassadeur reel about 2 years ago and upgraded the drag washers on it at one of you seminars at the fishermans wharehouse in san jose. After the upgrade i threw it in the box and thats where its been sitting for the past 2 years.  Now i am ready to use it and am wondering if i need to do anything to the reel like clean it or lube up some parts,or is it good to go?  When we worked on the reel you pretty much greased everything up so Im not sure i even need to do anything to it.

yeah, everything is still "read only."  things have been pretty hectic around here with my father-in-law in and out of the hospital.  the drag should be good.  check the freespool. if it's ok, then go fish!  let me know if there are any problems.  alan
