Great job on the build, Sal.  The handle really makes that reel POP!
I also agree on Tom's design being simply awesome.
The plates remind me a little of a Grice and Young from back in the day....

The lines in Tom's plates line up beautifully with the tib frame.
Man, that handle is cool as hell... you never stop re-inventing your handles.
Nice build bud,

Finally got a chance to make me a red handle and assemble this kit:

Nice job on the plates Tom, I really like the new design.

I need a cold shower after staring at that reel Sal, that is a sweety!
Bad day of fishing still beats a good day at work!

I don't know how I missed this post.  Sal, outstanding look.  I love the way you are customizing handles.  Ted, that is a beauty with some new style handles.  Keep on styling both of you.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Finally got all the parts together for my 3/0 builds and . . . So I'm guessing I have old style plates (I ordered new style), which is why I can't put this reel together? The screws aren't long enough to attach the plates to the frame, or do I need longer screws. I need some help please, thanks!

Darin you have old style plates & the new style frame. Screws are not the problem. You have to get a old style frame for those plates. Or get a set of new style plates for the frame you have.      Rudy

Did he make old style plates for a 3/0? All I see on his site is one style. Doesn't the kit come with screws?  Problem might be the frame, mine went together fine but I was using Randy's narrow frame
Do what you can with that you have where you are

Hello Darin,
It looks like I sent you the wrong plates. You did indeed order a new style set on Feb 13, 2019.
Send back those old style plates and I'll send the correct ones to you.

There are both old and new style plate kits on the website, you need to select the style from the pull down menu in the listing.

Folks, please contact me directly when you have issues. I don't monitor this site much anymore.

Thanks,
Tom

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.-Sal

No worries, just posted here for help to figure out what my problem was. I'll send these back next week, Tom, thanks!
