Talica 8 drag washer

Does anyone here see an issue with this setup?

I have yet to find a Talica drag washer epoxied to a spool, so what keeps this from slipping?

as i recall, the underside of the cap is notched to match the drag washer.  either that, or it mashes down on it and holds the drag washer in place.

Rick I checked the schematic for that reel and don't see any area in the spool that catches the cutouts on the drag washer. Just like your picture shows. The larger ones have the drag washer with screws as the attachement.

The Talica 10 down have your drag washer the same way. The 12 up have the drag washer screwed down.
