So i wanted to add a post and dog to a few of my abus so i ordered them from lundgrenfiske a few weeks ago. I thought they were pressed fit but you have to peen the end of the post... well a 1911 plunger tube staking tool is perfect for the job. It has a hardened spike on one end and it drives it into the post mushrooming it into the plate, cleanly without using a punch.
I did a newer 6500c3, the older silverish record 60 and i planned on the newer more blue record but my record 5600 already had the dog and post.

The posts are available again?

Nice work with the tool, I used a center punch on mine.

Yessir. I ordered 3 sets at the end of march and they shipped on 4-12

Great idea - it does a neater job than a ball hammer.

It can't be too difficult - a lot of people do it.

Do you have a link you can post, a few here we're looking for them a few years ago.
