We have a closure here for the kings untill mid june and so with some spare time I could share a nice experience I had awile ago,  just one more time.   I hope you can smell the fresh salmon in the net.   These salmon are good for you in many ways,    Its what I live for.  See what you think.

beautiful Gary, absolutely beautiful.  King Salmon are my most favored fishing also.  I have been enjoying what is shaping up to be my best season ever here on the Monterey Bay, I have to get my video skills sharpened up so I can savor and share the experience.  Watching your videos is thrilling your my inspiration.
Keep it up im addicted.

Love the videos Gary. Beautiful fish and wonderful on the plate. I love the Fl sunshine too much to move but if I hit the lotto I would have me a summer home up your way.

Knocked it out of the park again.  Thanks for that video.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

I'm with you on that, Dwight!  Although I'm from the South and really loved my summers in Panama City back in the day, Utah with No Bugs and NO Humidity plus 300 sunny days a year is hard to beat.

20 years back during my first trip to Alaska, I asked the Lodge owner, Chuck Haydu, what were the Top 10 reasons for me to move to Alaska and the Top 10 not to.

He said Steve there is no Top 10 either way....there's only one.  I got really excited then thinking oh boy oh boy! let's have it!

He said " Rain...you can either take it or you can't. "

21 years later and I'm still making the annual pilgrimage to the same Lodge.  So I'm nearly at 6 months residency now, lol.

But I can't wait to get back up there! See my new avatar pic and I see you're sporting a Trophy King in yours. Oh yea!

I spent 2 months in Ak. So, for me there's two "top tens" for moving up there and one for not: 1) people like Gary and pristine Salmonid fisheries. There were a couple of folks I met that you'ed really wanna hang with. Never experienced any fishery down here, like those up there. 2) On the negitive side: people. Some seriously anti-social, easily threatened people. I should say that those of the second neg. category were all Fed. Gov. employees and not really local(local= born there, or long-time residents ). After that experience, I really started to wonder about how my tax dollars are being spent...
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!
