At Alan Tani's request, I've started running a few common Penn sleeves in 416 Stainless steel. They can all be found here: https://www.cortezconversions.com/product-page/penn-senator-custom-gear-sleevesThe newest addition is a ten tooth 98-60, which according to Mysticparts.com fits the following reels: 49L, 60, 65, 66, 67, 68, 110, 111, 112, 112H, 113, 125, 149L, 185 Seaboy, 190(1990+), 267, 268, 285M, 309M, 500, 500S, 501.

The 98-320 sleeves are on the build list. As mentioned at the start of this thread, Alan Tani asked me to start making gear sleeves because he didn’t want to continue suppling them.

Hi, Tom. Before I order the wrong thing, please confirm something for me. The original Penn 98-155 and Alan's SS 98-155 (at least the first gen) have coarse threads, but your 98-155 has fine threads, and so needs a star other than the 10-60. Correct? Thanks.

I may be wrong, but I've never seen a coarse thread 155, none of my stock samples do. But to answer your question, my 98-155CC sleeves are fine thread and the 10-60 will not work. Most are opting for the 10-505 star.

I may be wrong, but I've never seen a coarse thread 155, none of my stock samples do. But to answer your question, my 98-155CC sleeves are fine thread and the 10-60 will not work. Most are opting for the 10-505 star. Thanks for the correction. There are a couple of pages on mysticparts.com that seemed to suggest otherwise. --Mike
