I was going to post this, the other day...looks like the Gulf Fishing is going to take another hit!

https://wqad.com/2019/06/12/record-mississippi-river-flooding-could-cause-gulf-of-mexicos-largest-dead-zone/

I can't find the link, but on today's news, they showed some footage of an "underwater clean up" near a pier....*someplace* (I was busy "feeding my face", and missed the location!!)...that showed multiple 5 gallon buckets of sinkers, and other terminal tackle...all thatlead, brass, and copper can't be a good thing, when it's in the water !
There's nothing wrong with a few "F's" on your record....Food, Fun, Flowers, Fishing, Friends, and Fun....to name just a few !

The clean-up was mentioned here:

The dead zone has been getting worse for decades.  The primary culprit is nutrients in the runoff.  The Mississippi is carrying the runoff from half a continent of farming and urbanization.

The whole delta area is sinking.  Small communities abandoned.  Levees and channelization don't allow river sediment to build up, which is what made the delta and most of New Orleans over the centuries.  Everything goes out to sea (the dead zone).  Big issues are on us and more coming up.
