Thanks for posting! I have one of those reel setting on my book shelf. It's the lone survivor of the three that i gave my three sons when they were young. They were nice reels for the price. BPS sold a ton of them.

Thank you Mo. I thought the disengaging levelwind appeared in the early 1970's. I wonder if Heddon was the first?
