I bought a small Quick Microlite without a number at a garage sale. It has no number on the body. There is the number 265 on the bottom of the spool and Made in West Germany on the reel foot. It is R/L hand interchangeable with a plastic cap on the opposite side. There were no ball bearings supporting the main gear.

You have a Microlite. Among the best ultralite reels ever made... Jeff

QuoteThere were no ball bearings supporting the main gear.

They aren't needed because it has very good bushings (IMO better than ball bearings) supporting the gears.
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)

Tommy is right on about this bushing & all other bushings used in early Quick reels.

The Manganese Bronze used for the bushings is a hard with high tensile strength metal also has good corrosion resistance. Along with its ability to hold oil it also have  some level of self
lubricating... Jeff
