We had a great day aboard the Stress Free. My buddy Brian flew in from Boston last night and needed some stress free time and smokers were the cure for a long summer of work and no fun. We threw a Viking jig a lot and also got a bunch of jacks and blues. Nice fun day before the storms gets up here. Looking forward to calm seas as soon as it passes so we can get some more smokers.

We usually only get big Kings on live bait down south. Did you get them on jigs?

Jigs and Sardines on a wire. Two weeks ago they would only eat bait and then last week they started hitting the jigs too. Never know but just have to try different methods.

compadre, you better make a thread named  "stress free adventures" and put all your trips there, soon will be longer than Benni's thread (luck)

everytime you hit the water you get great stories to share

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Hey Alex,

I like your idea so I should start it after the next trip and start building. Right now we are waiting for the hurricane to pass so may get out next Thur or Friday.

instead of make a thread for every single trip I was gonna made something similar,  like "Baja fishing tales" but it would be updated every 4 months LOL

If you want a killer artificial for kings and spanish, check out the Halco Max 110.  Ive had a lot of luck with the baitfish color (H57).

The pricetag hurts a little, but the action is on a whole different level.    And I was turned on to these by a member here who catches more kings than about anyone I have seen.  And from a kayak!  Glenn Madden, aka Prof. Salt.
