Colleagues,
i need the answer to the following questions:

What was the main gear on the Tica TALISMAN X-TREME TBAT 3000 or 2000?
Also, from which material is a pinion on the same reel?

Can you past some pics of the gears? I'm not familiar with this reel.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.-Sal

I'm not familiar with the reel either, but with a quick one page google search, this:

ad for the 3000 on this site mentions gears are steel and bronze:

I do not own such a reel.
That's why I ask.

Wfjord, thank you.

From Tika, they are unclear about the Talisman X-treme TBAT around the gear.
They always quote the gear and pinion material, and they didn't do it his site.

It does not say on the boxes either in my country or abroad. Some sites mentioned steel and bronze but not all.
For the rotor and housing, in every possible place, they emphasized that they were made of aluminum, and that is certainly the case then.

This reel has been on sale for about 3 years now and someone has safely disassembled it for lubrication but no one to speak ...
Earlier versions were steel-steel or steel-bronze combinations. It is not impossible that they have now reversed it with zinc or aluminum and estimated that they would live off the old glory.
