Welcome to the site, and please tell us what type of fishing you do in the Fresno area.

There is nothing like lying flat on your back on the deck, alone except for the helmsman aft at the wheel, silence except for the lapping of the sea against the side of the ship. At that time you can be equal to Ulysses and brother to him.

good to have you with us john, now come on were do you fish, boat pier or beach, what reels do you have, welcome from Sunny Western Australia, cheers Don.

Thanks!! I was born and raised here in Fresno, I left in 2005, was doing a lot of traveling abroad. I am just recently back home (less that a year). I am more used to salt water, but here in the central valley i am having to get into bass, crappie, trout and kokanee. All my current gear is heavy salt water stuff, so im working on stocking up with fresh water gear. Other than the 6 vintage Penn's I got from my grandpa's stuff, all my reels are Okuma. Mostly metaloids and makairas.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
