Great job on the 'clean up'!! Did you do any "polishing" on the side plates ? If so, what did you use ?
There's nothing wrong with a few "F's" on your record....Food, Fun, Flowers, Fishing, Friends, and Fun....to name just a few !

No polish on the plates.  I was scared to dull them with anything abrasive.  Ran some semichrome on the metal parts and some Nevr-Dull on the rest after a bath in the vinegar solution.

Looks great! Buffing  them at the wrong speed would have done some melting, I'm glad you chose to do it as you did.
