Alternative to ferrule dots (multi piece rod alignment)

I thought someone might be interested in this. These would be used on a ferrule wrap to aid alignment of multi-section rods while assembling them. Paint dots or even decals are used sometimes, but if you are doing wraps anyway...might as well go ahead and wrap in a thread in a straight line to accomplish the same thing.
