Has anyone attempted to repair a snapped of reel seat stem?

What kind of reel?

What make & model reel? What kind of material? What part of it is broken? If it is part of the frame, can the frame be replaced? Photos would help.      Rudy

Its a Daiwa 1000c broken on the stem ... korean made ..cheap cast aluminum I would guess.  Has sentimental value.

Maybe just glue it with gorilla glue or a 2 part epoxy & put it on the shelf till a parts reel shows up on ebay  or flea market.

If you ever intend to fish with it again, buy a parts reel and swap the body over.

If it's just a shelfie now, I'd probably just superglue it. Maybe drill into each side and pin it if you want it to be a little more sturdy.

Attempting to repair it to a fishable standard feels like folly to me.

good advice from the guys, if you're going to fish iy. don't waste your time trying to repair it, it will eventually fail.

another reel would be a better option.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

get a Japanese 1000c & pretend that's the sentimental one ;D
