I am having an issue when assembling this reel, the Main and pinion gears don't engage. Look through the bearing hole and you see the two don't mesh?  The eccentric lever has been applied in both directions and nothing has happened.
Info on the reel
Using a Squidder kit, and donor 146 (this reel is being set up to be a lefty), 5+1 Drags, Board member "Peteh's" double dog bridge set up (Thanks Pete again for doing that)
Thoughts and suggestions?

I think you just need to get the bearing in the side plate, and the spool in place to move the pinion into the right location.
If you look at the pinion, it's way out of line with the center of the bearing location.
If you finish the assembly, I'm sure it will work fine  Smiley

Yep, what Chad sez --

Get the (2) bearings, spool installed and the spool centered -- and all will be well.

Best,

Fred

Some just like to take a shortcut to see the final results before doing & testing the entire assembly.  Wink     Rudy
