Hi all,
I'm looking to convert a right handed penn senator 114 6/0 to a left handed reel. What is the right way to make sure I'm ordering the right parts for different aged reels? Are these parts still available from Penn or anywhere else? If not Penn where?

Cheapest way is to find a LH reel -- completely restore and service it including new greased CF's.

Use any better cosmetic parts from your existing 6/0.

Service your existing R/H 6/0 -- and then sell it to offset the L/H purchase.

That is one approach that works well with no fumbling or variables, mistaken parts purchases, extra double or triple shipping, etc..

Best,

Thanks Fred! These reels are hard to find. That's why I'm looking into conversion. Let me know if anybody has one to sell or trade.
