Would love to see a service tutorial on this now very popular reel. Thanks in advance.

alantani

they are not very common here.  chances are they are similar to tiagra and tld two speed reels.

I was led to believe that they are the counterpart of Trinidads in the U.S. market Alan.

I've done lots, but haven't got around to a tutorial yet.
If you have a specific query, let me know.
Good luck, Justin

Justin good to hear someone's familiar with it. I'm not a very good tinkerer is the reason a tutorial would be very useful. Thank you.

They are what a Trinidad should be, I have a 4000 series Ocea Jigger I can show you sometime.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Thanks Alan. If it's close enough then it might be good to go.

Let us know how you get on
Good luck, Justin

Thanks Justin, will do.

the OJ is built differently from the Trini.
Just compare the schematics.

Had several OJ 1501 HG+PG for service and is easy to do. The 2000NRHG is identical in construction to the 1501HG, only larger spool.

The problem starts when the housing cover is installed.
To do this, the two screws of the plate on the housing cover (37) must be loosened and the plate removed. The tip of the click spring (56) must be exactly aligned with the position of the click pin (48). If this is not correct, the Roller Clutch Inner Tube is inserted already into the Roller Clutch Bearing. This must be pulled out and inserted into the Key Washer again. The position of the Click Pawl/Click Spring can twist so much that everything must be realigned again. To avoid this I fix the Inner Tube with a drop of super glue on the Key Washer.
Afterwards the Click Spring/Click Pin can be pushed with a needle and assistance of head lamp into position.

If you have finished this after half an hour my congratulations.... i hate the reels..... and prefer the new models.

The newer models are modified and the Click Pin/Click Spring are moved into the Main Gear.

Good Luck
