Penn 7500SSV and the effects of a good service!!

Good to see first hand reels that are serviced and how effective a service is.

I received a year ago an SSV7500. Was in horrible shape, cleaned out the spool, re greased and did the works. A year later today, I receive the same reel along with others that were not serviced. These reels see a lot of saltwater. First set of pics of the reel that has not been serviced.. second was the reel that I serviced a year ago fished the same way. It still did require to be cleaned out again but the drastic protection a service provides goes a loonng way!!!

With all this being said, SSV reels and I assume Slammer reels with this drag system will pose this problem. I often receive them corroded and beat in the same area...
