While I was sitting in the house reflecting on the good things of life and watching the sun poking out of the ground fog we sometimes have and thought of taking some of you for a scenic tour of nearby where we like to recreate.

Unlike some places where the weather is nearly constant and generally not much of a factor, in southeast alaska its almost the opposite.

Sometimes your get a break ,  sometimes you wait.

seems like the shoreline is where things happen.

Here is an adult humpback whale feeding along.

glassy smooth water with a fish smell.

a collared cow and calf moose come out of the brush to get some excersize.

a pair of bald eagles think about making a nest nearby.

generally a line is wetted.  its nice when its nice!

sometimes visibility is poor.

every point is a corner where things can happen.

as the air is still things are always changing ....

sometimes you smell trouble.  lion.

sometimes they share scraps and ideas.

gen erally eagles avoid the ground as much as possible.

a lone wolf is walking the grassy shoreline and stops for the camera.

sea otter reunon.  here,s why we have no crab anymore.

and now the prize we were waiting for.  A wild king salmon.
Thanks for going on a little boat ride.  Maybe we can do it again sometime?

Thinks for the ride, friend.
Everyone is happy about the otters coming back, and they do help the kelp and the fish, but they eat a lot of crab.

Sometimes I think the discussion needs to be "how do we want things" more than "how do we make them like we aren't here."

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Gary thanks for another boat ride with you.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Thanks for taking us along, Gary!

Thanks Gary for taking us for a virtual ride though your beautiful State. If I could handle the winters and convince my wife to move, Alaska would be at the top of my list. I think I could adapt to the winter before I could get my wife to move though.
