Bail won't close all the way - Penn conflict 2 3000

Try loosening the bail arm screw #31, by a quarter of a turn and see if it gets better.
This will not cure the problem, but might pinpoint it.
If it does get better, your bail wire might be out if alignment.
You might want to check the bail If it is bent, the bail arm bushing for wear and the inner side of the bail arm where it makes contact with the spool.
Don't know much about these Reels, but the functionality is pretty much the same as others.
