SeaMonster

Hello,  I hopeful someone can help me find a handle retaining nut and the screw that locks it in place for a CS-501.  I lost it years ago when trying to find a handle upgrade.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks-  Mike

mike, i might have a set.  can you get calipers and measure the largest diameter of the drive shaft?

Sure,  should the reel be disassembled to take the measurement?

SeaMonster

If it helps the size is 5/16x24tpi

in case one needs to know the decimal eq of 5/16 =0.3125 or approx 8mm

Thanks guys,  the battery in my caliper is dead.  I'll pick one up tomorrow and see what it is and get back to you.

Thanks again

On another note the Nut Mr. Tani is illustrating is closer to 1/4 inch or 6.35  mm

Remember - if you measure the inside of a nut it will be smaller than measuring the outside of the shaft even if they are both tha correct size ;)
The 'minor diameter of a 5/16 nut is approx 0.265" the 'major' diameter is approx 0.3125"
From Alan's measurement his nut is probably 5/16"
