my more recent build, a baitcasting rod to cast light lures and spoons to spanish macks, corvinas, triggers and more inshore fisheries

nothing spectacular, just some green hypalong grips, gold trims and winding checks, Pacbay DP guides and good old gudenbro buttwrap thread one the split grip blank

Do what you can with that you have where you are

thanks guys

most of my friends cant afford to buy a custom rod, so this one was in a Raffle between 20 fishing friends to have each ticket priced cheap.

Very nice job Alex! I really like the Gudebrod thread and Pac Bay guides, they look like mini turbo guides.

Good lookin stuff Alex! How did you get that pattern on the buttwrap? It looks to me like a varigated thread in a diamond wrap. It looks sweet!

alex,
WOW!
I agree with John, you have gone from wrapping rods in a homemade box, to turning out high quality rods. Nice work....
bet you dont have trouble selling raffle tickets for your work.... Your friend probably line up!!!

It can't be too difficult - a lot of people do it.
